The Story
H-MAP has been developed by Md. Fahim Hossain, Founder and Chairperson of Green Lead, driven by the belief that data holds the power to support vulnerable communities more effectively and equitably. Recognizing the gap between data availability and on-the-ground decision-making, Fahim envisioned a platform that transforms complex data into actionable insights for humanitarian action.
The idea was first proposed at the Asia Pacific Habitat Youth Assembly 2025 in the Philippines, where it was recognized as the winning initiative, reflecting its relevance, innovation, and impact potential.
Together with his team at Climate Intelligent Technologies (CIT), Fahim led the development of H-MAP as the first data-driven platform of its kind, created in collaboration with Habitat for Humanity Bangladesh. The platform supports evidence-based decision-making, enhances operational efficiency, and helps optimize interventions at the community level.
H-MAP represents a commitment to leveraging technology and data to strengthen housing, resilience, and dignity for vulnerable communities.
